Principals

 

Steven L. Alegria received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Central Washington University in March 1974. He accepted a staff accounting position with Boyd Olofson & Company, Yakima, Washington in March 1974 where he remained until October 1977, at which time he joined with James B. Shrader as a Principal of the Firm. Steve has extensive experience in agriculture, manufacturing, real estate and litigation support. Steve is a member of the Washington State Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Taxation Division. He is also a current board member of the Providence Health System. He has also served on Boards for Medex Northwest, United Way, Yakima Life Underwriters, Yakima Estate Planning Council, Yakima Greenway Foundation and others. He is a member of Holy Family church, husband and father of three boys.

 

Scott Eschbach attended Central Washington University where in July 1982 he received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.  Scott was employed by the Firm in 1982 and became a Principal in 1990. Scott received his Masters of Science degree in Federal Income Taxation through Golden Gate University in December 1992 and was named “The Outstanding Graduate for 1992” for the Seattle, Washington campus.  Scott is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Washington State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has served on the Boad of Directors for the Washington State Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Scott has also served on the Board of Directors of Provident Industries and the Yakima County Coalition for the Homeless and is a past president of the Yakima Chapter of the Washington State Society of Certified Public Accountants.  He is a member of Holy Family church and is married with one daughter.

 

Barry Warner received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration when he graduated summa cum laude from the Honors Program at Washington State University in 1988.  Barry accepted a position with KPMG Peat Marwick LLP in their Seattle, Washington office following graduation.  He left KPMG as a Senior Manager to join the Firm in December 1997 and became a Principal in October 1998.  His clients include closely held businesses and their owners as well as tax-exempt entities and individuals. Barry is licensed as a CPA in Washington, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Washington State Society of Certified Public Accountants and is accredited in performing personal financial planning services by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  He is responsible for the quality control matters related to the Firm audit engagements and has completed the Uniform Combined State Law Examination and is a General Securities NYSE/NASD Registered Representative. He is also the finance committee chairman and member of the Board of Directors of Heritage University, a member of the Yakima Rotary Club, and a commercial pilot and certified flight instructor. 

 

 John K. Rothenbueler  graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 1977 and spent the
 first 14 years of his career working for Deloitte & Touche in taxation and audit. His interests transitioned from auditing publicly traded companies to providing a broad spectrum of services to entrepreneurs and their closely held businesses.   In 1990 John joined Alegria & Company, P.S. as a Principal. Areas of specialty include tax planning and preparation for businesses, individuals, trusts and estates; business valuations; litigation support; and business consulting. John is licensed as a CPA in Washington and Oregon, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Washington State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is accredited in performing business valuations by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  John is Board Chair of the Yakima Valley Community Foundation for 2008 and 2009, United Way Campaign Chair for 2008 and serves on the Yakima Rotary Trust Board. John has served as President of Yakima Sunrise Rotary and Providence Health Foundation. In 2002 John received Washington State’s CPA Humanitarian Award for extraordinary dedication and service to his community in Yakima.

 

Kenneth Meissner was born in Edmonds Washington in 1973. Ken received his Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and in Finance from Central Washington University in December 1995. Upon graduation Ken accepted a position with the Firm and became a Principal in 2006. Ken received his Masters of Science Degree in Taxation through Golden Gate University in December 2002 and designation as Certified Specialist in Estate Planning in June 2002. Ken has broad experience with agriculture, construction, manufacturing, and retail businesses. Ken is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of the Yakima Rotary Club and is currently serving as treasurer on the board of Allied Arts Council of Yakima and has also served as treasurer for the Yakima Chapter of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants and as a member of the United States Junior Chamber.
